Changes to CeCert certificates

Ladies and Gentlemen,

From January 3, 2022, CeCert was registered into the NANDO database under the number 2934, thus it was designated as a notified body in the scope of Directive 98/79 / EC on in vitro diagnostic medical devices. The certificates we issue in the scope of 98/79 / EC constitute the admission for manufacturers of IVD medical devices to the European Union market in the scope described in the certificate. Therefore, we made a decision that starting from January 3, all newly issued certificates, issued both for management systems, IVD medical devices, or a safe facility, will be signed with a qualified signature. Only a certificate signed in this way will be recognized as original.

In addition, we would like to point out that all certificates issued by CeCert have their own unique QR code, which redirects the person verifying its authenticity to our website – secured with an SSL code, which also contains the original confirming the validity of the certificate being checked. In the event of its suspension, withdrawal, or issue of a new edition, all necessary information will be placed in the form of an annotation on the certificate available on the CeCert website.
